The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is proud to announce the launch of its 30th anniversary NFT collection, in collaboration with our esteemed partners. This limited edition collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) represents significant buildings, moments, and memories on the campus, and includes 26 designs, each representing a letter in the alphabet and a specific meaning behind it.
Our team has implemented Wallet as a Service technology to facilitate the purchase and collection of these NFTs for interested buyers. This technology allows for the creation and encryption of individual wallets, eliminating the need for users to navigate the complexities of creating a wallet, thus providing a seamless user experience.
The collection features original designs by Vivian Ho, an HKUST MBA alumna and leading local artist, and additional designs in both pixel and cartoon styles by our in-house artist-designer, Marshall. Each artwork is valued at HK$1,991, in honor of the year HKUST was established.
All proceeds from this charity sale will be used to support the university’s future development plans and enhance the student experience for years to come. We invite members of the community to participate in this unique opportunity to own a piece of HKUST history and support our ongoing mission of excellence in education.
We sponsored the Digital Art & Design Contest Level Up Our World in collaboration with APRU (Association of Pacific Rim Universities).
Moon Lab recently offered a Professional Art Studies in partnership with Hong Kong Art School.
With the recent boom of blockchain & web 3 technology, NFTs have emerged as a hot commodity to represent digital assets.
