Moon Lab recently offered a Professional Art Studies - Art x Technology: Emerging Technologies for 21st Century Art course in partnership with Hong Kong Art School. Hong Kong Art School is a renowned institution that offers a wide range of art and design programs, from undergraduate to postgraduate levels. It aims to nurture students’ creativity and innovation by providing them with the best art and design education, facilities, and resources.
The course aimed to provide institutions with an in-depth understanding of cutting-edge technologies currently shaping the art industry. The course was held during the period of 22/9/2022 – 13/10/2022 and covered a wide range of topics, including the latest developments in NFTs, Blockchain, VR, AR, and more.
One of the key areas of focus was the rapidly growing field of NFT markets, where participants delved deep into the technology behind Non-Fungible Tokens and the digital marketplaces that support them. The course also examined the impact of NFTs on the art industry, as more and more luxury brands are turning to NFTs to enhance their artworks, events, and products.
Throughout the course, participants gained a real-world understanding of these innovations through hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies such as rendering, 3D modeling, and minting NFTs. The goal of the course was to provide institutions with the tools and resources needed to understand and integrate NFTs into their own curriculum, opening new opportunities for their students. The partnership with Hong Kong Art School enabled us to provide participants with the expertise and resources needed to gain a comprehensive understanding of NFTs and their applications in the art world.
We sponsored the Digital Art & Design Contest Level Up Our World in collaboration with APRU (Association of Pacific Rim Universities).
With the recent boom of blockchain & web 3 technology, NFTs have emerged as a hot commodity to represent digital assets.
We were delighted to be invited to collaborate with HKUST and help them generate a limited edition sale of highly collectable non-fungible token (NFT) artworks.
